June in Indiana!

Okay, I don't know the "rules" of blogging. Do I only write about things related to living overseas? Can I blog when I am in good ole' Highland, IN? I mean, it IS Highland, IN and all. I am going to write anyway--I am a badass.

I get to spend the entire month of June (and even some of July) in Indiana! Darron arrives on June 10th and is staying for almost 2 weeks. He needs to work so I can take 50+ lbs. of American food/goodies back in my suitcase! LOL! I arrived Monday evening and here it is Saturday and I finally slept until 6am! Much better than being wide awake at 2:30am! I've spent time with my mom and friends, worked out--and SHOPPED! Oh how I love to shop here. Being able to read the package labels is seriously the GREATEST thing ever!

I did already have a small crisis! I went to my friend Kristin's daughter's softball game and somehow lost my engagement ring. BUMMER! We looked and looked but no such luck. My mom and I went back the next morning and believe it or not, she FOUND it in the parking lot! Only minor scratches which are being taken care of at the jewelers. Praise the Lord for Judy!

Pretty busy while I am home. A few road trips--Indy this weekend and North Chicago next weekend. Anniversary party for my in-laws. Meeting my new little cousin Greyson and Great Niece Marleigh for the first time! Hanging out with my mom and spending time with close friends. Eating multiple times at Cracker Barrell, Bob Evans, Langels, and Aurelio's! Got to get my fix! Walking in the July 4th Whiting parade for the 4th year in a row! Going to my niece's dance recital and meeting a cousin and his family for the first time.

Although I am loving Moscow--there's no place like home.

  1. Hi, I just sorta stumbled across your blog. My daughter moved to Moscow with her three children in April. She joined her husband who had been there since Oct.
She is having lots of fun trying to figure things out, like you!
They will be coming home for Christmas, and we will be visiting in Sept!
