The cutest little cousin EVER!

My trip home also would not have been complete without meeting my new little cousin Greyson. He was a New Years Eve baby! I was so lucky to get to watch him for an entire day! He has the cutest laugh -and his chunky legs are irresistible! I can't wait to see him in December. It's hard for me to believe that MY little cousin Greg is a dad but I know he'll be the best daddy ever. He's got the greatest role model. Girl babies....back away...

Hannah's Dance Recital

Darron and I were so happy we were able to be home for Hanna's dance recital. We wouldn't have wanted to miss this! She was so darn cute and we were really proud of her. I still can't believe she's going to be in kindergarten this fall! Although we enjoy living overseas, we sure miss seeing her smiley face!

My Great Niece Marleigh Kate

Yep! Believe it or not, I am a great aunt! My trip wouldn't have been complete without meeting Marleigh who was born in January. I was afraid they might name her Obama but PRAISE the LORD they did not! She is absolutely adorable! She is the daughter of my niece Melissa and her hubby Nate. She really is ridiculously cute. Have I mentioned that already? I had to wait almost 6 months before I could meet her. I look forward to seeing her again over Christmas and will sure miss the time inbetween! I'll work with her to say Aunt Jenny! (and Go Cubs but I know her daddy is working on that!)

"God made us cousins, we made us friends"

Okay, so the title is a bit corny. Okay, quite corny! It's rare to meet a first cousin in your 30's...but I did! Thanks to facebook, we connected and were able to meet during this visit home. My mom and I went to their house for dinner and had a such a great time. We laughed the entire visit! We are still shocked at how many people we know in common, and are positive we had crossed paths during school. We just never knew we were related! We even have similar sparkling, witty, personalities! (well, I do but Rob is fairly close-LOL!)

The only issue is his ridiculous attachment to Notre Dame, but we'll work on that. At least he is a Cubs fan! I got to see my aunt again after many, many years! I also had the privilege of meeting his wife Dana and twins Tyler and Kylee who are just awesome! I sure hope we stay connected!

June in Indiana!

Okay, I don't know the "rules" of blogging. Do I only write about things related to living overseas? Can I blog when I am in good ole' Highland, IN? I mean, it IS Highland, IN and all. I am going to write anyway--I am a badass.

I get to spend the entire month of June (and even some of July) in Indiana! Darron arrives on June 10th and is staying for almost 2 weeks. He needs to work so I can take 50+ lbs. of American food/goodies back in my suitcase! LOL! I arrived Monday evening and here it is Saturday and I finally slept until 6am! Much better than being wide awake at 2:30am! I've spent time with my mom and friends, worked out--and SHOPPED! Oh how I love to shop here. Being able to read the package labels is seriously the GREATEST thing ever!

I did already have a small crisis! I went to my friend Kristin's daughter's softball game and somehow lost my engagement ring. BUMMER! We looked and looked but no such luck. My mom and I went back the next morning and believe it or not, she FOUND it in the parking lot! Only minor scratches which are being taken care of at the jewelers. Praise the Lord for Judy!

Pretty busy while I am home. A few road trips--Indy this weekend and North Chicago next weekend. Anniversary party for my in-laws. Meeting my new little cousin Greyson and Great Niece Marleigh for the first time! Hanging out with my mom and spending time with close friends. Eating multiple times at Cracker Barrell, Bob Evans, Langels, and Aurelio's! Got to get my fix! Walking in the July 4th Whiting parade for the 4th year in a row! Going to my niece's dance recital and meeting a cousin and his family for the first time.

Although I am loving Moscow--there's no place like home.
